Korra is Islam’s latest foul mouth, swearing, representative of Islam to recruit people to the faith. She’s been a lot of discussion lately as Muslims are split as whether it’s appropriate for her to do dawah (the Islamic equivalent of evangelism minus the good news), or if she should stay home and be quiet. There was a debate recently and Lady Logic was going 1 against 20 in the debate.
If I were there, I would have a question for Korra and the others. Here it is:
Islam’s authentic texts say that women are the fuel of hell and majority of hell:
“Narrated `Imran bin Husain: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “I looked at Paradise and found poor people forming the majority of its inhabitants; and I looked at Hell and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3241).
“Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: Once Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) of `Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, “O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women).” They asked, “Why is it so, O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) ?” He replied, “You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands” (Sahih al-Bukhari 304).
If women are the majority of hell, what makes you think that you yourself will be in Paradise?
