Many will try to cover the fact that Muhammad married a 6 year old. They will say it wasn’t allowed at the time, or that she was actually 18, or that it was just for that time (ignoring that Islam’s prophet is to be the most righteous example for all time.
But what do the texts say?
1) There are 200 Texts that say she was married off at 6 years old. Also a number of texts say she was playing with dolls a the time.
Narrated `Aisha:
I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for `Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fath-ul-Bari page 143, Vol.13)

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:
“The Messenger of Allah married me when I was six, and consummated the marriage with me when I was nine, and I used to play with dolls.”Sunan an-Nasa’i 3378
2) The Quran confirms you can have sexual relations with pre-pubescent girls:
About the Iddah which is the waiting period before you can remarry a divorced little girl:
“And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women – if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allāh – He will make for him of his matter ease.” (Quran 65:4).
“The `Iddah of Those in Menopause and Those Who do not have Menses
Allah the Exalted clarifies the waiting period of the woman in menopause. And that is the one whose menstruation has stopped due to her older age. Her `Iddah is three months instead of the three monthly cycles for those who menstruate, which is based upon the Ayah in (Surat) Al-Baqarah. see 2:228 The same for the young, who have not reached the years of menstruation. Their `Iddah is three months like those in menopause. This is the meaning of His saying;
3) The purpose of the Iddah is to determine pregnancy. You don’t need an Iddah if you are not pregnant.
“O you who have believed, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you have touched them, then there is not for you any waiting period (ʿiddah) for you to count concerning them…” (Qur’an 33:49)
One may spin it how they want, but the texts are overwhelmingly and abundantly clear. Muhammad, the perfect example for Muslims, married a 6 year old and consummated the marriage at 9.
Dear Muslims, this is not a righteous example. Look to Christ, the sinless one.
